Staying in a bed and breakfast inn usually means visiting in someone's home. Interaction with the hosts and other guests is a major part of that experience. We try to make our guests feel at home, and some have said they have felt as though they were visiting family.

For those who prefer to remain more to themselves, our guest cottage, Versailles, separate from, and to the rear of the main house affords maximum privacy. Breakfast, however, is taken in the dining room.

Some questions you might ask before booking reservations at any bed & breakfast:

• What type of breakfast do you serve and at what time is it served?
  
• Does the innkeeper live in the house/on the premises?
  
• What if I should happen to cancel?
  
• What type of payment do you accept?
  
• Do I share a bathroom with any other guests?
  
• Is the bathroom a stand up shower or is it a tub?
  
• How is your establishment heated/cooled?
  
• Will someone from the establishment meet me at check in?
  
• Have you had any crime at the house or in the community?
